| Colin Bennison ..... On a White Canvas
|
Date: Saturday 5 May to Sunday 3 JuneVenue: Latrobe Regional Gallery | Contact Details: | Latrobe Regional Gallery, Commercial Road, Morwell. Contact Fiona West on T: 51285700 |
On White Canvas explores the virtues of quietude expressed through Colin Bennison’s diverse collection of subjects. Bennison draws inspiration from his photography that documents the nuances of nature, the grandeur of landscape and figures in moments of solitude. Portrayed in the delicacy of charcoal and conte crayon, these works exude a sense of stillness and reflection that is highlighted by the undisturbed spaces of white canvas. This use of space framing the subjects and the gentle gradation of tone, are just some of the qualities in Bennison’s work that set this contemplative mood. Exhibition opening and conversations with the artist 5 May 1pm -3pm.
